Day Light Saving Time – Why Abolish It
Why does daylight saving time or DST persist up to this moment and why is it even started in the first place? When random people are ask the same questions, there are two prominent reasons first is for help farmers and second is due to the world war I or probably world war II..However the truth of the matter is that many farmers are not really in consonant with daylight saving time. Some people adhere to DST while others don’t but what’s true is that many farmers don’t like the idea of DST. A number of farmers have their own scheduled time in waking up now just imagine the hassle they will have to undergo just to sell crops to clients who are following the daylight saving time.
This daylight saving time actually began during the First World War since the government during this time wanted to reduce the usage of fuel and artificial lights. After the First World War, it was not actually followed but then when Second World War was triggered this was once again followed by many people.
World War II is already a thing in the past. And so why is it that daylight saving time is still implemented.
The reason behind the latter is the implementation of an act which alternates the use of standard time and the daylight saving time that must be followed across different states. Debates regarding this topic in the congress is inevitable and so changes are keep in happening. As a matter of fact, there was even a time wherein daylight saving time was not implemented in summer and spring but rather whole year round. There was actually a system wherein on April the start of DST is observed usually on Sunday at 2 AM and then it ends on the last Sunday of October at 2 AM. But of course when 20th century came this was again change. Nowadays, the DST is observed for approximately 8 months unlike before, this usually begins during the second Sunday of March and ends during the first Sunday of November.
Tons of ideas were shared as to where the daylight saving time started but among them the ones in 1907 was the most widely accepted fact.
Over time many people try to support the idea of daylight saving time with a more relevant type of reasoning even if the real reasons in implementing it is different.
The first reason for the supporters of DST is safety. For others they think that if there is more daylight then road accidents can be avoided. Is this really what’s happening?
There might be some truth for this matter but there was a year wherein daylight time was observed yet an increased number of school bus accidents that took place in the morning which is contradictory to the first support they proposed.
